Happy Birthday Riley!!

We went to Jump Man Jump to help Riley celebrate his 2nd birthday today. It was a blast! The more cousins we add, the more fun we have!!!

Shrine Circus

Turns out that one of our neighbors is a real life clown and he brought us tickets to take the boys to the 63rd annual Shrine Circus. The boys had a fun time and were even brave enough to ride on the elephant.

 

Nana & Papa-Check Us Out

Nana & Papa bought this hat for Beau when he was only 1 or so and both boys wouldn’t put it on for all this time…they thought the fur was “silly.” Well, Beau rediscovered it today and has finally realized how cool he thinks it is. It fit right in with his hunting adventure through the backyard this afternoon. Thank You Nana & Papa!!!

Little League has Officially Started

I can’t believe that my “baby Beau” has officially started little league. Beau had his first practice yesterday and in true baseball fashion, there was snow on the ground and bone chilling wind blowing. Since he is still recovering from his tonsil surgery, we had him take it easy out there but from what we saw, he is going to love baseball!!!

Say Goodbye to Beau’s Tonsils

Beau went in to the hospital on Tuesday to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. He was so brave and did so good. The doctor told us that they were class 4’s….which is as big as they can get….he couldn’t believe them. Beau came out of surgery great and seemed to “come to” wonderfully. Surgery was at 7:30am and we were home at 11:30am, unbelievable!! They must have given him some great pain meds because he seemed so fine that whole first day….until the next morning….then the fun started. He has been a real trooper. He thinks of something to eat that sounds so good and then swallows the first bite and gets so frustrated at the pain. He’s hanging in there though and should be back to 100% soon. Beau thought it was funny that you listen to the TV like you’re talking on the phone.

  He was more upset by the surgery cap then the gown. He said “this hat is not even funny…DO NOT take my picture with this dorky hat on.”

Sweet boys

For the past week I have discovered this when I go in to get the boys in the morning. At some point during the night, Beau climbs down from his bed…with his blanket and bear…and snuggles in with Cole. Sweet brothers!!!

**UPDATE-Beau told me tonight that he has to sleep next to Cole because he will always be his brother’s guardian**

My Little Angel

Beau had his pre-op appointment today for his tonsil surgery and after we were done at the doctor we took him to get a new baseball hat to get ready for t-ball.
