Cole Schaffer – Yankees - #6
Let the games begin, Cole was so excited to have his first game tonight. He did so well. Made great hits including one into the outfield and many great throws to first base. That uniform of his gives him some major confidence and
a little swagger and it is a crack up!
As you can tell by the previous post, both boys had their season opener tonight and that was tough. I stayed with Cole for his whole game while Dad walked across the field to see Beau after Cole made his first great hit. This scenario created heartbreak at the end because little old me wasn’t a big enough crowd and he was very disappointed! “Why is it just you here Mom, where is everyone else?” Guess I’m just not loud enough.
Great first game buddy! We are so proud of you and love you very, very much! Love, Dad and Mom

Spring School Pictures
Beau’s school pictures came home Friday and they turned out so cute! The ironic thing about these is that the school’s master calendar had one date for picture day and they showed up and took them one day prior. Apparently I should have read the order form a little better. Ha! Beau came home the day they took them and was so upset because he didn’t have his “picture shirt” on that he had picked out and just wearing “a silly motorcycle shirt Mom.” He loves to dress in button ups or polos. :)
I told him that he is handsome everyday in whatever he wears (well mostly, LOL) and I bet they would turn out great! Since we didn’t prepare I was certain they would probably be one of the best ones he takes.
Turns out, I was right! Honestly, the shirt he wanted would have clashed and looked horrible….isn’t it strange how things just seem to work out in all aspects of life.
We LOVE these!

Happy Birthday Dear David!
Happy birthday to the world’s greatest father, husband and best friend!
David’s birthday started Sunday with his birthday dinner from Nana and Papa and since Beau and Cole were in the spirit of birthday time, they insisted he open his presents early on Sunday night. They were so proud of what they picked out….literally, I was just the driver and it was so fun and funny. They also picked out the fabulous black wrapping paper….and neon bows. The best memory for me this year was them picking out cards. Since Beau can read it was absolutely hysterical to stand back and watch him read cards and giggle, giggle, giggle and move on to the next one. After he narrowed his down from 10 to “the one” he moved on to reading them to Cole and Cole instantly picked his…..it’s a dog so there is no way to change his mind. What a fun and proud moment to see Beau act so grown up and love every second of picking out a birthday card.
Great job Beau! This morning the boys were so excited to give David his final gift that they woke up super early so they were sure he opened it before school.
let the giggles begin with the present wrapped in the present wrapped the present. Cole thought this was the funniest thing ever to “make a trick!”
Daddy got apple TV
One more adorable moment about David’s day was me taking Cole to pick out an ice cream cake. Cole and the Marble Slab lady pretty much did the entire transaction. Cole talked to her about what kind of ice cream Daddy likes and it had to have a chocolate covered strawberry on top for himself. He made sure to have a few samples while he was there making conversation with the “worker.” :)
MAKE A WISH
Happy Birthday David! We hope it was the best ever! You are so wonderful to us and we love you to the moon and back. Until next year….

David’s Birthday Week Begins
Nana and Papa took us out for David’s birthday dinner tonight and we had a fabulous time. We went to Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse and Beau studied every move the chef made so I am thinking we may have to lock up the kitchen knives so he doesn’t get any crazy ideas and try to go practice. :)
do you like the birthday bow stuck to my shirt? I’m his present. Ha!
Happy Birthday Week David!

Happy Birthday Dear Xander
Xander is ONE! Our cousin Kimberlee and her husband Raymond celebrated Xander’s 1st birthday this weekend and I was looking so forward to going and visiting with everyone but unfortunately I woke up in the middle of night severely sick. I don’t think I ever saw daylight on Saturday and was so bummed to miss Xander’s party.
Isn’t he handsome?! We hope you had the best day ever!
Happy Birthday Xander!
