-by Beau

As you may have seen in the Christmas Eve post, Beau got a new “real” camera for Christmas and he captured some pretty cute pictures. He’s very proud of himself!

Christmas Day!

Christmas Day was the best! The boys are at the best age right now. Santa brought them a Wii with lots of games and accessories and they are loving it. They are dying this week though as they are only going to be playing it on weekend days!

We had Papa & Nana, Grandma and Clay and Uncle Dan and Aunt Sherry over for the day and had a really nice time visiting and laughing and playing the Wii.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at Papa and Nana’s house was as wonderful this year as it has been every year so far! They do not miss a single detail and are so thoughtful. The kids have the best time playing with their cousins and it is quite chaotic with 5 little ones running around. Dinner was fantastic and we had the best time. Thank You Papa and Nana for
The Best Christmas Ever!!!

Beau: "Mom, for our Christmas Eve dinner may I wear one of those shirts that button up all of the way and one of those long things that hang in the front and make you even more handsome?"

I was very ambitious with desserts this year and had a really fun time making all of these. They are pretzel chocolate treats, cherry chocolate mousse pie, marbled pumpkin cheesecake & pumpkin mousse with shortbread cookies. I’m hungry!

School Projects

I love, love, love when the boys bring home their school projects. This is the time of year that they do the more complex ones and they are the best gifts ever!

Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!

I needed to make some undecorated sugar cookies for the boys school party and while I was making them the boys were bummed that we weren’t going to decorate any. I decided to take some to work as well for an office party so they decorated away! They did such a great job and love these new mini frosting tubes…they are very kid friendly. I probably had the most fun with the cookies….they went to bed and I stayed up way to late playing in frosting.

This is the one that Cole is most proud of….100_6663 …and here is the one that Beau is most proud of.100_6664 ! cookies everywhere !100_6667 as I said above, I had so much fun by myself when the family was sleeping….I made these for the boys to take in their lunches. I’m such a kid!

Peek-A-Boo

I spent the day yesterday rearranging and cleaning out the boys playroom before Christmas. I heard the giggling and had an idea of what was going on in there but didn’t expect them to both be squished in the toy box together. :)

Crafty Christmas

Last Sunday we went to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Lisa’s house for a family visit, football, food and fun crafts.

Aunt Lisa had a really fun ornament idea that was made of pipe cleaners and beads. The kids loved it…..and the Mommy did even  more.

Aunt Lisa's Ornament Project

Next up was an old classic from Nana. Candy Cane Reindeer. We did traditional and some new crazy colored ones. I think Beau ended up making a dozen as he was really loving all of the silly colors.

Aunt Lisa had the kids covered with these crafts, coloring books, crayons, Christmas PEZ and chocolate fondue. As Beau would tell you, “with cool stick stabbers” for the dipping. Thank You Masten’s!
