Happy Birthday Dear William

We went to William’s 3rd birthday party today at Uncle Justin and Aunt Amy’s house. Since William has a birthday close to Halloween they did a fun costume party theme. Along with wearing their costumes, they were all given trick-or-treat buckets and went trick-or-treating at all of the doors in the house. Behind each door was an adult with a yummy treat. They also bobbed for apples and had a cute Halloween birthday cake for William.

Student Of The Month

David and I received a note that was sent home from Beau’s elementary school saying that there is an awards assembly today and we would probably like to be there, Beau would be presented with an award. Oh my! I can’t wait to see what he was being recognized for. They don’t even tell us what it will be for. Beau didn’t have a clue either so we didn’t tell him we would be at the school today. While standing there waiting for it to start we noticed Beau noticing that we were there and he lit right up…..enter the first tears from sappy Momma! First category, no mention of Beau’s name, 2nd, 3rd and 4th….nothing! This Momma could be the most inpatient person on planet earth so I was getting antsy.

and on to So Cal

after remembering Grandma in Arizona, we decided to make a slight detour to So Cal to visit Aunt Lorrie, Uncle Ron, Jesse, Jared, Aunt Lynne, John and Patric. It had been a really long time since we last saw them so we decided since we were already South, let’s stop by for a visit. We had a wonderful time with them before heading back home.

Sweet Dreams Grandma

Fear not, for I am with You,
Be not dismayed for I am Your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will sustain you through  My power.

May Christ’s love enfold you, comfort you,
and lead you into unending life and joy.

We traveled to Yuma, AZ this week to celebrate Grandma Miller. The trip was bitter sweet as we said goodbye to Grandma but were able to see so many family members that we haven’t seen in years. Dan and Sherry followed us for the long drive overnight. We left on Tuesday night and drove all night long, arriving in Yuma at 5am Wednesday.

Soccer-2011-Cobra Strikers

Beau completed his third year of soccer and this one was the best yet! He is doing so well and his skills amaze me more and more as the games pass. He is truly an athlete and I love it! Athletics are so healthy and teach such great life lessons about team and sport. Way to go on another exciting season, Beau!

One of the BIG highlights of this season was the
jersey color. He was in heaven as lime green is
his current most favorite color.

Dave’s Hunting Trip

Dave came home long enough to re-pack and drop Beau off and then went out hunting with our friend’s, Kasey and Jeremy. They had another successful hunt and a fabulous time! Unfortunately, in just the two days that separated the two hunts, the weather turned quite ugly for them with snow, rain and wind.

Beau’s First Time Out Hunting

David was invited to go on a hunting trip with a friend of ours and they decided to bring the kids for their first trip. Beau and Clayton are both 7 and loved every bit of it. Of course, Mom was having some anxiety about him seeing the whole process but he wasn’t phased by any of it. He is growing up way to fast for my liking. He said, “I can’t wait to be 12 so I can actually have my own gun and hunt my own animal." Oh goodness…I can wait until your 12!
