Brandy

It has been a sad, sad day at the Schaffer house. We had to say goodbye to our sweet, sweet Brandy girl. She joined our family in October 1999 and was part of every one of our milestones for the past 14 years. David and I are so sad and having to talk to Beau and Cole about it was heart wrenching. We talked and talked and we all understand that she is in peace and running laps all over heaven just like she used to when she had her fast legs. We will miss her so much!

Rest in peace baby girl! We love you always!

Muckdogs-Carson City, NV

Beau played in the “Triple Threat” tournament in Carson City, NV this weekend. The weather was beautiful and the team did well. We are having so much fun with this new baseball adventure and are so proud of our boy!

Sherry and Maddy were in Reno for a few days so I got my Maddy fix. She is so good and such a doll! Cole and I went to see her at Grandma’s on Sunday while David and Beau were at baseball. She is on the go but let me snuggle her for a few.

I had the pleasure of watching her Wednesday afternoon while Sherry ran some errands and we had a blast!

Pet Sitting

Cole has a pet sitting job for the next few weeks. Rocky has come to stay at our house. He is quite comfortable in Cole’s room and Cole could not be happier about it.

The first day was comical after I dropped the kids off at school and came home and started some chores. I heard a chirping bird and totally forgot he was here so I about died at the thought that a bird followed me and I had a moment of “how the hell am I going to get it back outside.” I laughed about that all day.

Soccer

Cole started soccer today and was really excited for his first game. He is enjoying this year much better as there are actual teams, team names and different jerseys for all.

Tournament Time

Beau played in his first tournament (King of the Dirt) this weekend and did well. The boys played their butts off and we are so proud of them. We had a blast and can’t wait until the next one. Thank you to our family and friends that were able to make it out to support Beau. It really meant a lot.

David and I surprised him with a congratulatory gift, the new bat bag he has been eyeing for a while. David even took it and had it embroidered for a personal touch.
