The 2nd graders at Beau’s school have officially entered the wonderful world of technology. Instead of packets of worksheets coming home each week in their homework folders, we get one sheet that tells Beau which lessons in their own websites to work on. Yep, each child has their own website that they sign in to and navigate around to complete their homework assignments. It sends his teacher reports and keeps track of his accomplishments with “rewards” and even allows me to run reports to see what he’s finished and needs to work on. Isn’t this crazy cool?! Not only can he do this from a laptop or desktop, he can use an iPad or iPhone as well and do homework on the go. It is so awesome and amazing! We LOVE it and hope that homework continues this way.

So….along with this new adventure and me getting a new computer for Christmas, we have set up the older desktop in Beau’s room for homework.

First step, running an internet line to the room. The boys thought going under the house was SO AWESOME!!!



Now he is all set up and ready. Dad & Mom have only “allowed” a few sites on this computer but he is in heaven.



Technology is mind boggling isn’t it?!

Thinking back at our amazing 2012, I wanted to revisit some highlights! 2012 will be hard to top but will be definitely try.

Uncle Kevin, Aunt Dana, Wade, Kinley & Mason came to Nevada for a super fun visit


Uncle Dan, Aunt Erin, Riley & Delaney visited twice and we helped Riley & Delaney celebrate Riley’s 4th birthday & Delaney’s 3rd birthday.


Our family welcomed 3 new babies:
Cousin Jared & Justine welcomed Holland on June 19th, 2012

Aunt Amy, Uncle Justin & William
welcomed Declan on November 22nd, 2012 (a Thanksgiving turkey)

Uncle Dan & Aunt Sherry welcomed Madalyn on December 4th, 2012

Congrats to all! LOVING these babies!

David & I got our new 4-wheelers & completed our little quad family




David spoiled me rotten the entire year!!!
For our 10 years, he designed my ring upgrade. I LOVE IT!!! So much meaning. The stones in the middles are David, Beau & Cole. The outer bands each have 5 stones to represent 10 years of marriage and the 2 outer golden bands are gold mined right here in Nevada for my 2 golden boys.
 

AND…….David & I celebrating our 10 year anniversary with a vacation to Squaw Valley Resort! So, so, so much fun!!!




Cheers to 2012 David! I love you so much and can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store for us. You are the best husband and father and I am the lucky one the “got” you!
