Play Ball

To say that Cole was excited to have his first baseball practice tonight on his very own team is putting it mildly. He was ecstatic….his own team, his own new glove, bat, batting gloves….all stored in his very own new bat bag.

Cousin Count Is Growing

We could not be any more excited for Dan and Sherry with the news we got today! Little Miss Kinley Mae came back from her visit in Winnemucca and in the middle of picture taking time at Grandma’s, tapped us on the leg and said, “Guess what?! Aunt Sherry is having a baby!” As you can imagine, we were all cheering! We can’t be any happier for them and are so excited Beau and Cole have cousin #7 on the way! You two are going to feel love that you didn’t think was possible and it is the greatest!

Miller’s Are In Town – Day 9

It’s the Miller’s last day in town and I don’t even want to think about it. We have had the most amazing time. I could not have ever gotten enough of them. We all loved every single second of their visit. Grandma talked Dan and Sherry into coming back in to town so that we could take some group photos and I am so glad they did. We had fun….even with that. The family time was so refreshing and wonderful and we all can’t wait for a repeat. Hopefully we can all make it a more often occurrence.

Time to say goodbye…. :( We had a blast! Thank you for the wonderful visit, Miller’s! We miss you already. Beau was brave when saying goodbye at Grandma’s house but when I opened the car door after pulling into the driveway I realized that he silently cried all the way home, his shirt was damp with tears……as was mine. It broke my heart. He sobbed himself to sleep and kept asking David and I if we were sure they weren’t close enough that we could drive to see them. Soon Bubba! Soon! We all feel the same!

Miller’s Are In Town – Day 6,7 & 8

Wednesday and time to go back to work. :( Wish I took more time off but it all worked out. Miller’s went up to Lake Tahoe for the day and we met up for dinner after work at our house. This is the day Beau said, “I don’t know who made up this rule that cousins live so far away from each other but I DO NOT like it one single bit.” Also the day that Wade told Kevin, “I am going to change to Uncle Dave and Aunt Kristy’s son and stay here, I promise I will behave.” Love it! I love so much that all of these cousins adore each other. It is going to be so hard to say goodbye.
Then they all said bye for a couple of days because Kevin, Dana, Wade, Kinley and Mason are heading out to Winnemucca tomorrow morning to hang out with Uncle Dan and Aunt Sherry.

Miller’s Are In Town – Day 5

Tuesday and we went to the new Discovery Museum today. David and I hadn’t been and it’s fairly new in town so we were excited to see what it was all about. Beau and Cole had been and were really excited to go back. The museum is all about Nevada and I can’t wait to go back and read more of the facts. The big hits for the kids were the “cloud climber” and “Truckee river” prototype. Even with my fear of heights, I managed to go to the top of the clouds with the kids…..3 stories high!

Miller’s Are In Town – Day 4

It’s Monday and I have a couple vacation days off work so that I can continue smothering my brother, sister-in-law, nephews and niece. I can’t get enough of them and we are all having a blast! Today we went to open jump at Jump Man Jump for a while and then headed to Legends at Sparks Marina for some shopping and then dinner at Jazz (another place we would recommend, delicious!). And then…..Circus, Circus for fun! Our kids haven’t ever been so we’re in trouble now that they know it exists. HaHaHa!
