Personal Space

I don’t know how it was for you when you were a kid playing video games (ok, ok this is still true for me to this day) but I needed a lot of room around me to move my arms and literally jump off of the chair when Mario needed to jump, ect. I am amazed watching Beau and Cole when they play the Wii! I found this last weekend when they were playing Lego: Star Wars and am just amazed that they can get anything accomplished while practically sitting on each other! This game involves running, jumping and light saber fights and they manage to remain in this exact position for the whole time. Keep in mind the step stool they are sitting on is about 1 square foot! Unbelievable!

Happy Easter

  We hope you all had a wonderful Easter! The Easter Bunny paid a visit to our house with all sorts of goodies. He must have known that Beau and Cole are all singed up for swim lessons because he brought some really cool swim trunks, board shirts, flip flops, and goggles. Along with Legos, hand held skateboarding games and pocket Nerf guns. Fantastic!

delicious dinner….rib-eye steaks, baked potatoes, salad, shrimp pasta and garlic bread. Aunt Amy made yummy cake balls in 3 flavors; lemon, chocolate and fun’fetti.

Egg Dying Time

Time to dye Easter Eggs! Honestly, I think Mommy has the most fun! Beau & Cole did some great eggs though and the “thing to do” this year was to dunk one egg in 3 or 4 colors and wait and see what happened. At one point Cole’s turned a horrible brown color but he was able to save it and turn it navy blue….for the Wolf Pack! Mommy and Daddy like to experiment with layers. I made a “sunset” and “super star”(as in the popsicle) and Daddy made a “Los Angeles Lakers” one. Now we wait for the Easter bunny to hide them.

   

Easter Saturday

Grandma and Clay stopped by on Saturday to hang out. Grandma made great Easter goodie bags for Beau and Cole and they had a fantastic time playing with the bubble guns she brought them out in the rain.

Annual Egg Drop Challenge

Beau participated in his elementary school’s annual Egg Drop Challenge today. Last night he found a container he wanted to use and we helped him carefully pack one raw egg in the center, nice and tight with stuffing from a gutted pillow. The egg must not break! The principle took the eggs to the roof of the school and, as Beau said, “chucked them off…he did not gently drop them.” Beau’s lost his lid and another container landed on his…..

…..after all of the containers were “chucked” off of the rooftop, the kids went and unpacked them
to see their result! 

His egg SURVIVED!!!!

2011 Dodgers – First Game

Happy Birthday Dear David!

Happy Birthday dear David! It was a wonderful day of fun! I couldn’t imagine a better man and father! The best days are these days of hanging out together! Lunch date at PJ’s! Shopping for a bit! Watching a movie at home!Dinner….chicken cord on ’bleu, mashed potatoes, some vegis and lemon cheesecake for dessert! Dad got a new Blu Ray player which the boys are very excited about because now we can watch our Netflix movies in the room and not kick them off of their wii.

Soccer, Baseball & Sunshine

Saturday was full of sports and sunshine. It was so nice to have a beautiful sunny day for soccer and baseball practice. We all managed to get some color before it was time to go.
