The Birthday’s That Just Keep Going…

I feel like we have been having a birthday month in our house….with August 2nd and August 25th babies….I guess we actually have been. We stopped by Papa and Nana’s house for a visit and to open birthday gifts from them. The cards were a huge hit! Cole LOVES dogs and his card barks Happy Birthday To You to him when he opens it and Beau’s plays Happy Birthday To You as a cool rock song!!!

The boys gifts were to hint to them about our upcoming trip that they do not know about….DISNEYLAND!!!!! The luggage and cool neck pillows still didn’t give it away completely but I definitely think that Beau is catching on. :)

Happy Birthday Dear Beau!

I picked Beau up at school this afternoon and we went out and about for his birthday day. First it was off to McDonald’s and then out to see Daddy working. We ran all around town checking things out. After we picked Cole up at school, he had a happy birthday present from his brother. Still can’t believe we have a 6 year old!!!

We had our family and friends over for the boy’s birthday celebration this afternoon. The boys picked out a pirate theme this year as you will notice with all of the eye patches. Happy Birthday dear our wonderful boys, Beau and Cole!!!

New Trampoline

The boys received a joint birthday gift from Daddy and Mommy this year so we split the time from the 2nd to the 25th in half and gave them their big gift. A new trampoline with full safety enclosure. I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that our babies are 3 and 6!

A Rough Weekend & A Do Over

Last weekend we went camping with a group of friends and the weekend turned out to be full of excitement. I woke up Saturday morning with a horrible migraine and was very sick. As weird as this will sound, Thank God for my migraine!!! Why you ask? Well, Dave and Beau and all of our friends went out on a boat ride that afternoon while Cole and I took a nap. I woke up feeling much better and Cole and I hung out and played frisbee and snacked. It started getting later and later and the boat was not returning…to make a long story short, Cole and I had to call Washoe County Search and Rescue and file a missing person report at 6:30pm. It was the most terrifying day of my entire life! The boat ended up breaking down an hour and a half away and they were located at 9:45pm!!! On the other side of the story, Beau was in heaven when the search and rescue helicopters located them because he thought the opening scene of Transformers was happening right before his eyes!!!

This weekend we went back out with the same group of friends for a big “do over” and had a blast with no incident. Phew! :)

Soccer is Back…

Beau started soccer this weekend and he has moved up one division so it was a little more competitive this go around. He did so awesome! Dave and I were so impressed and he scored 2 goals!

Happy Birthday Dear Cole!

Cole turned 3 today and I think it’s safe to say he had a pretty great birthday! He will be having his party at a later date but his actual birthday was full of fun things. We started out by taking some sugar donuts to school to share with his friends in his new class. Then Mommy picked him up to go on a lunch date….Ronald McDonald’s. After our lunch date and a little Mommy & Cole time we went and picked Beau up from school. Beau had a little something special all ready for his baby brother. Beau told him that he is the “best brother in the whole universe.”all Cole kept asking for was “one little yellow car.” of course Beau had to get him a GI Joe Storm Shadow set up to go with the Snake Eyes set that they already have. Last, but not least, birthday dinner at the Grand Sierra with Papa and Nana.

School Days!!!

Today was a very big day for the boys at school. Beau started kindergarten and Cole moved up from “Cubs” to “Pandas.” Mommy wanted them to look spiffy for their big day!
